Cancellation Policy

At KD Psychology, clients are required to give at least 48-hours (i.e. 2 days) notice of any intention to cancel or reschedule their appointment. You can do this via SMS, email, or phone call.


Clients are informed of the cancellation policy at the time of booking and acknowledge the need to pay a late cancellation fee if they fail to give sufficient notice for any cancellations. When signing the consent form, you are declaring that you have understood and agree to the terms of the cancellation policy. If you have any questions regarding this, please ask your psychologist ahead of your appointment.

The purpose of the cancellation policy is:

  • To minimise the number of late cancellations and no-show appointments.

  • To minimise disruptions to the psychologist's time, schedule, and preparation for sessions.

  • To ensure that other clients are given a fair opportunity to access treatment when an appointment spot becomes available.

Late Cancellation Fee

No-shows or late cancellations - i.e. cancellations made with less than 48-hours (2 days) notice of the scheduled appointment time - will incur a late cancellation fee. This is equivalent to the client's normal session fee.

SMS reminders

As a courtesy, clients are sent an SMS reminder approximately 3-4 days prior to their scheduled appointment. Please note that it is ultimately the client's responsibility to remember their appointment time and they are expected to promptly notify the psychologist of any changes.
